We are so saddened to hear that Danny has passed away. Danny and I hung out during high school and after, we worked on cars, ate Salerno's Pizza, went to the drag races, and had an overall great time with our friends. I to this day, remember the old Buick (it wasn't so old back then) that we rebuilt the engine on in Danny's Dad's garage. It was a horribly difficult task, but we had a great time working through it. We'd finish for the day, wash up, and you guessed it, went across the street and got a Sal's Pizza. I remember the time (again at Danny's Dad's garage}, we put in coil spring expanders in the rear of my Dad's 1968 Chevy Impala, to raise the back end up. It looked so cool, but my Dad didn't think so. I got in so much trouble. The next week, out they came, the Impala was back to normal, my Dad felt better! We celebrated with more Salerno's Pizza.
We double dated. Danny was at our wedding. We hung out with our friends, it sure was a lot of fun. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
May you rest in Peace Danny, we will miss you. Enjoy winning every heavenly race with "Buttons The Berwyn Dog"!
Our thoughts and prayers to all of Danny's family and friends.
Dan sat in front of me in Home Room. I worked at my Dad's gas station so we always talked about cars. I remember once he had done a burn out with his car and left tire tracks for a solid block. He then went back with a broom and swept the tracks and collected all the rubber in a plastic bag and brought it to Morton to show everyone how bad his car was. What a character! Rest in Peace Dan. You will not be forgotten.
