I really didn't know Ray in High School, but was surprised at all the information there is out there about him. He went to Atlanta, GA from Berwyn where he was a gay rights activist of some note. He co-authored papers, and fought hard for proper treatments, etc. He was born October 23, 1952 and died June 10, 1989 of AIDS. Ray Kluka Memorial Park is in Atlanta, GA.
