Dan and Sue were always a pair, from HS until the marriage vows--until death do us part.  Sue, so many wonderful memories of times together at St. Leonard, Morton West, and ISU as Frosh roommates.  Dan would come and visit.  My deepest sympathies to you and your family.  Dan was such a nice guy!  Such a loss~

We would like to express our sincere condolences to you and your family.  Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about.  I still remember us driving around in my dad's big station wagon, laughing a lot on our way to Morton.  Suzi, you and Danny will remain in our hearts and be in our prayers.

Much Love,

Rose (Schippits) Bartos and Russ Bartos

To Dan's family: I probably have not seen or spoken to Dan since we graduated in 1970 but if I remember correctly Danny was the QB on the freshman "B" team under coach Jim Ellinger. I remember Danny always had a great attitude, a sly sense of humor and always a great big smile on his face. My prayers are with you.

I remember Danny's sense of humor as a hand popped out of Klima's trunk which was in the front and Danny waved to us when we were in Klima's car, his caring as he made sure some of his friends like me had a date to go to the dances, his honesty as he would question some of my not so good decisions and also his love for Suzi and what a great couple they were.  They were so much fun to be around. He signed my yearbook "love Danny" and I say "back at you Danny" and you left us much to soon and will truly be missed!

I grew up with Danny, from grade school through high school.  During grade school, all students went home for lunch break, which lasted one hour and 10 minutes.  I would rush home, have lunch and race to Dan's house.  He would set up 6 buckets just like Bozo's Circus.  While Mr. Ned's voice was in the background, Danny and I would play our own game of bozo's buckets with different rules (I.e. bounce off the wall, blind toss, etc.)  We drove his mom crazy!  My Dan R.I.P.
