Life has been good! Still on my first wife. Had a nice career, finance director at a Fortune 500 firm (Abbott Labs) and got to retire at age 50. Got to live small town life in Sayre Pennsylvania and the "glitter" of Los Angeles, though most of my years were spent in good Old Chicago! Neither of the kids are in jail nor attended reform school. Oldest is a recruiter in Madison, youngest is a robotics consultant in Portland OR

I survived a type of bone marrow cancer (MDS) by way of a risky/experimental stem cell transplant. It was both a harrowing and rewarding experience as I marched right up to my last months when I did the transplant and survived. 47 days in the hospital! With no immune system for 38 days and no platelets for 10. Very exciting!

We own a 150 acre "farmette": in Gays Mills, WI and can pretend we're farmers, but we live in Madison WI. enjoy travelling on vacation numerous times a year.

I'm afraid my memory is not as good as everyone else's! So you probably have more stories to tell me than I have to tell you. R, on Bangert tells me I won a cherry pie eating contest. I do remember egg fights, prom, the football team's conquest, our lousy basketball team and Sy Schesta's history class, playing chess in Mr Anderson's class during lunch time. I got on the font page of the Chicago Tribune holding a sign that said "We need Skul" during the teachers' strike (my 15 minutes of fame)
